Obituary
Chester Loberg
Services for Chester A. Loberg, 61, Houston, Texas, formerly of Wahpeton, will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Vertin's of Wahpeton Chapel. Mr. Loberg died Monday at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Houston. Rev. Edward Krueger will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Vertin's Friday morning until the time of services.
Chester Loberg was born September 14, 1915 at Park Rapids, Minn., to John J. and Bernice (Severson) Loberg. The family operated furniture stores in both Breckenridge, and Wahpeton. Mr. Loberg attended Wahpeton Schools. He served in the Air Force in WWII and during his military career he obtained the rank of Technical Sergeant. After his discharge, he worked as a painter.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. John (Bernice) Loberg, Wahpeton Retirement center; three brothers and three sisters, Darwin, Tacoma, Wash., Warren, Grand Forks, John, Jr., Marshall, Minn., Mrs. Al (Virginia) Benson, Seattle, Mrs. Colleen Cate, San Lorenzo, Calif., and Mrs. Vincent (Janet) Catalano, Lombard, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Durward.
