Obituary
WAHPETON YOUNG MAN KILLED IN FALL AT MORRIS, MINN. Herbert Lotzer, Victim of Accident Buried Here Monday
Funeral services were held in Wahpeton Monday for Herbert Lotzer, Wahpeton young man who was killed in a fall from an electric light post at Morris, Minn. Last week. He was working on the post for the Ottertail Power company when his safety belt slipped and he fell 35 feet to the
ground. Although Lotzer’s skull was fractured, his arm broken, and his neck broken, he lived for a short while after the fall. Medical aid was secured at once, but he passed away in about 24 hours. He had been employed by the Ottertail Power company for some time and was working with a crew of men in the city of Morris when the accident occurred.
The dead man’s mother, Mrs. Sara Lotzer, lives in Wahpeton. His father passed away some time ago. He is survived by four brothers and two sisters, besides his mother. They are Edward of Graceville, William of Chicago, Ben and Robert of Wahpeton, Mrs. Thomas Sansborn of Wahpeton and Mrs. Nick Stitz of Breckenridge. Funeral services were held Monday from the Congregational church and burial took place at the Fairview cemetery here.
