Ingmar Lund, 69, Wahpeton, died Tuesday, June 2, 1992, at Veterans Hospital, Fargo. The funeral service will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Vertin-Munson Wahpeton Funeral Home with the Rev. David Eggebraten officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday from 3-8 p.m. at Vertin-Munson Wahpeton Funeral Home and until the time of the service on Friday. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens with military rites by Hafner-Miller-Ross American Legion Post #20.

Casket bearers will be the Hafner-Miller-Ross American Legion.

Ingmar was born Feb. 16, 1923, in Abercrombie to Ingvald and Anne Lund. He married Mary Scharfs in Breckenridge on Feb. 10, 1954. He served in the United States Army from 1948-1951 and obtained the rank of corporal. He worked in Wahpeton for Lee Agnew, Jack Reed and Smith Motors for over 17 years and for 11 years at Wil-Rich Manufacturing. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his pet dogs, Poodie and Junior.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, Wahpeton, one brother, Andrew Lund, Halstad, Minn., four sisters, Irene Haverland, Perham; Marie Iverson, Oakes; Norma Schubert, Hankinson; and Marlys Cattarozzle, Waukesha, Wisc.

He was preceded by his parents, one sister, Ardyce and two brothers, Oscar and Martin.
