Obituary
Clifford Larson
Funeral services for Clifford Larson, 80, of Wahpeton will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, with Rev. Marvin L. Hartmann officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Larson died Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital, Breckenridge.
Organist will be Mrs. Horace Lahren and special music will be provided by Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Jacobson.
Visitation will be Thursday afternoon and evening at Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Home east chapel with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. There will also be visitation one hour prior to services at the church.
Clifford Larson was born May 5, 1894 at Kindred. He later lived at Abercrombie and served in the Army in France during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart.
He married Isabelle Tolstad Feb. 16, 1928 at Valley City. They lived at Kindred until 1946 when they moved to a farm near Breckenridge. In 1947 they moved to a farm near Dwight. They retired in 1959 and moved into Wahpeton.
He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, World War I Barracks, and the Sons of Norway.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Darrel (Madeline) Miller of rural Wahpeton; a son, Eldon, of rural Wahpeton; eight grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Geneva) Hanson and Mrs. Clark (Olga) Hanson of Breckenridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The Garden of the Christus is located in the Memorial Gardens, which comprises the northern half of the cemetery.
