Obituary
F. Lindenberg Funeral Services Set Here Friday
Funeral service will be at 1:30 Friday in the Wahpeton Congregational church for Frank Lindenberg, 82 of Wahpeton, a retired Great Northern Railroad employee. Mr. Lundenberg died Tuesday in St. Francis hospital where he had been a patient since December 19.
The Rev. Frank Hirons will officiate at the last rites and interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alex Wegener, Harry Murray, Dale McMichael, Calmer Carlson, Wallace Morden and Dr H. H. Pfister. Vertin Funeral Home of Wahpeton had charge.
He was born January 16, 1875 at St. Paul He had been a Wahpeton resident 44 years and had been employed by the Great Northern 55 years in the purchases and stores department. He retired in July, 1945.
He began work for the railroad in 1892 and in 1900 took a leave of absence and went to Alaska where he was employed on the first railway in the territory. Returning to the states, he worked for the Great Northern at Willmar, Barnesville, Spokane Wash., Grand Forks and Breckenridge.
He was a member of Odd Fellows Lodge and Great Northern Veterans Assn. He married Dorothy Vordell of Spokane.
Surviving besides Mrs. Lindenberg are a son, Norman at home, three daughters, Mrs. Carl Schiltz, Mitchell, S.D., Mrs. Myron Moore of Minneapolis and Mrs. Harold Bandoll, Kansas City, Mo, and seven grandchildren. Two sons preceded him in death.
