Obituary
E. I. Lislegard Rites in City on Saturday
Funeral services for Edward I. Lislegard, 67, who died Wednesday at his home in Ayr, N.D., will be held Saturday afternoon at two o’clock from the Schmitt and Poulton Chapel in this city. Rev. P.A. Gisvold will officiate.
Edward Lislegard was born in Norway December 20, 1892. He came to the U.S. in 1909, residing with a brother at Blabon, N.D. He moved to Breckenridge from Fargo in 1921 joining the Great Northern Railroad as an engineer.
He moved to Wahpeton in 1926, where he served on the city council 10 years. He retired from the railroad in 1948 and entered business at Davenport, N.D., and in 1952 moved to Ayr, where he had been in business the past seven years.
He married Marvel Costans September 23, 1924. Surviving besides Mrs. Lislegard are two daughters, Mrs. Harold B. Smith, Wahpeton and Mrs. Elroy Korth, Breckenridge; a brother, Tollef of Pine Creek, Minn., and eight grandsons.
