Obituary

Funeral Services Here Saturday For Mrs. Malone

Mrs. Eve (Bula) Malone, sister of Max Cameron of Wahpeton and mother of the governor of Nevada, died Monday in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she had been residing since 1956. She was 69 years old.

The body is being shipped to Wahpeton for funeral Services Saturday at 2 p.m. in Schmitt-Poulton Funeral home chapel. Rev. Frank Hirons will officiate and interment will be made in Fairview Cemetery.

Born in Oregon in 1889, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin F. Cameron, the family came to Wahpeton when she was five years old. She attended schools here and also the University of Minnesota.

She married Dr. William H. Sawyer in 1906 at Crooksville, Mo. And the following year they moved to Twin Falls Idaho, where she had lived until moving to Salt Lake City.

She and Mr. Malone were married in 1930. He passed away in 1937.

Surviving are: two sons, Gov. Grant Sawyer of Carson City, Nev., and Dr. William H. Sawyer, of San Francisco, Calif.; a brother, Max Cameron of Wahpeton; two sisters, Mrs. Iola Worner of Bismarck, and Mrs. Fern Prior of Boise Idaho and eight grandchildren.
