Obituary
Mrs. G. Martin
BRECKENRIDGE - Mrs. George (Ethel) Martin, 69, R. 3, Breckenridge, died Tuesday in St. Francis Hospital. The funeral will be at 10 Friday in the Breckenridge Lutheran Church with the Rev. Royal Steiner officiating. Organist will be Mrs. Alice Jarvis and vocalist will be Mrs. Donald Heitmann. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery at Wahpeton.
Visitation will be Thursday afternoon and evening at Vertin's-Wahpeton Funeral Home and for one hour at the church prior to services.
Casket beareres will be Gordon Martinson, Eugene Moore, Jess Lankow, Raymond Lankow, Cecil Lankow and J. H. Lichtenberger.
Ethel Cox was born Aug. 27, 1903, at Lewiston, Mont., the daughter of Forest and Annie (Whipple) Cox. She moved to Barron, Wis., at the age of 12 with her family and in 1918, the family moved to Breckenridge where she attended Breckenridge High School. She married Richard Joseph in 1921. After her marriage to George Martin Sept. 9, 1931, the couple moved to Everdell, Minn., where he was employed by the Great Northern Railway.
She is survived by her husband; three sons, Kenneth Joseph of Falls Church, Va., Harvey Martin of Detroit Lakes, Minn., Gerald Martin of Stirum, N.D.; 12 grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Opal Woys of Tallahassee, Fla., Mrs. Edward (Micky) Thompson of Ellisville, Mo., Mrs. Gordon (Berniece) Amundson of St. Louis, Mo.
