Obituary
Funeral Service for Mrs. Mashek Held Here Monday
Funeral services were held here Monday morning for Mrs. Frank (Edith) Mashek, long time resident of Richland County, who died Friday night at the St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge. She was 76 years old.
Rites were from St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church, with Rev. E. J. Eckhart officiating and Schmitt-Poulton Funeral Home handling arrangements.
Interment was beside her husband in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harvey Bisek, Frank Kouba, Charles Korourek, John Quinn, Dr. E. O. Smith and Earl Robinson.
Mrs. Mashek was born Sept 28, 1878 in Lawler, Iowa where she attended schools and spent her youth. She married Frank Mashek in Spillville, Iowa, on Sept. 14, 1898 and following their marriage they came to Lidgerwood.
They also resided at Grand Forks before moving to Wahpeton.
Surviving are a son, Walter, H., of St. Paul, a daughter, Mrs. Alvin (Mildred) Meyer, Wahpeton; a brother, Herbert Bernatz, Long Beach, Calif., and two grandchildren.
