Obituary
Mrs. Matheson Rites Tuesday
Funeral services will be held at 2 Tuesday in Grace Lutheran Church in Breckenridge for Mrs. A P. (Clara) Matheson of Breckenridge who died Sunday at Chisago City, Minn., where she was visiting a sister. Rev. F. C. Schmidt will officiate and interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Wahpeton.
Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening at Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge.
Mrs. Matheson was born June 24, 1903 at Fairbault, Minn., and came to Hankinson with her parents when a small child. She grew up at Hankinson and was married in June of 1922 to Robert E. McMorrow at Hankinson. They moved to Breckenridge in 1925. In 1942, she married A. P. Matheson. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Breckenridge. For several years, she was employed by the National Food Store in Breckenridge.
She is survived by her husband, A. P. Matheson of Breckenridge; two sons, Bob McMorrow of Fergus Falls and Merle McMorrow of Bismarck; four daughters, Mrs. Joe (Mavis) Peterschick of Wahpeton, Mrs. Art (Judy) Azure, Jr., of Moorhead, Mrs. Don (Betty) Petron of Williston, Mrs. Warren (Joann) Haddock of Santa Rosa, Calif., and 13 grandchildren. Also surviving are six brothers and four sisters, Edward Kath, Mrs. Gladys Harkins and Mrs. Len (Esther) Smith, all of Fairbault, Minn., Art Kath of Minneapolis, George Kath of Lidgerwood, Thomas Kath and Mrs. Art (Dorothy) Hanson,
both of Hankinson, Mrs. Hattie Barriger of Chisago City, Minn., Reuben Kath of Wahpeton and Robert Kath of Coon Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert McMorrow; two sons, Kenneth and Darrell; one brother and one sister.
