Obituary
McCabe Dies Suddenly This Monday Morning
Long Time Resident Stricken at Bank While At Work
Isaac N. McCabe, pioneer Wahpeton man, died suddenly this Monday morning presumably from a heart attack. Mr. McCabe, who has been caretaker at the National Bank for a number of years, complained of feeling tired shortly after coming to work this morning and lay down on a cot to rest, passing away shortly hereafter. Mr. McCabe had not been ill previously and the death was unexpected. Funeral arrangements have not as yet been completed.
Mr. McCabe was born June 26, 1857 near Carthage, Ill. He was married in that city Oct 6, 1891. From there he moved to a farm east of Breckenridge, later coming to Wahpeton.
He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Sadie Faulkner, of Wadena, Minn. A brother and a sister also survive. They are James McCabe of Pasco, Wash., and Mrs. Minnie Tanner of Fresno, Calif. Two children, Armada and Charles preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Congregational church of this city. Schmitt & Olson are in charge of funeral arrangements.
