Mrs. McCullough Rites Tuesday at Cong’l Church

Well Known Resident Dies Sunday At Local Hospital

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at two o’clock from First Congregational church for Mrs. George McCullough, Sr., aged 68, who died Sunday at St. Francis hospital where she had been a patient the past two weeks.

The body will lie in state at the Schmitt & Olson chapel until the hour of service. Born in Fergus Falls, she grew to womanhood there and was married to George McCullough, who died two years ago. They came to Wahpeton in 1915 to establish their home and have resided here since.

Surviving are nine children: Mrs. W. V. Dietz, Vernon McCullough of Willits, Calif., Franklin of this city, Kenneth of Fargo, George of Wahpeton, James of Breckenridge, Mrs. Merle Hoppert, city, Mrs. Joseph Sizer of Milwaukee.

All were with their mother with the exception of Vernon.

Also surviving is one brother, Howard Olson of Fergus Falls, and three sisters, Mrs. Adolph Appelgren of Willmar, Mrs. R. W. Colby of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Edward Conlon of Des Moines, Ia. Only surviving relative of Mr. McCullough is his sister, Mrs. R. R. Ashley of Fergus Falls who will attend the funeral service.

Interment will be in the family lot in Fairview cemetery.

Mrs. McCullough was a member of the Congregational church and active until her illness in church work. She was a member of the WRC, the Degree of Honor and Royal Neighbors.
