WELL KNOWN EARLY SETTLER PASSED AWAY Father of Two Popular Business Men Passed Away Seaforth, Ont
Mr. Mack McMichael, seventy years of age died on Sept. 12th, at Seaforth, Ontario. His body is expected to arrive today and internment will take place in Fairview Cemetery. Other funeral arrangements have not yet fully been made.
Mr. McMichael was born on May 15th, 1849, and was reared in Seaforth Ont. In 1883 he came to North Dakota and settled near Kindred. In 1887 he moved to Wahpeton. Like most of the early settlers he suffered many hardships and privations. He was of the Episcopal faith and was a well known and highly respected citizen. Three years go he returned to the scenes of his early childhood and spent his last years near the place of his birth. He was united in marriage to Miss Agnes Van Egmond, also of Seaforth, Ont., who preceded him to the Great Beyond fourteen years ago, and at the time of her death, were married thirty two years. He has left five children to mourn his loss. Three sons Thomas A. E. and R. V. McMichael, all of Wahpeton, and two daughters, Mrs. Maud Haas and Mrs. Agnes McMichael, both of Fargo, N. D.
