WAHPETON WOMAN PIONEER BURIED HERE Funeral Services For Mrs. Anna Medved Held Saturday Afternoon
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Anna Medved, a pioneer Wahpeton woman, who died at St. Paul Wednesday last week. Death was caused by cancer from which she had been suffering for a long time.
The deceased was born in Vienna, Austria Sept. 8, 1864. She came to this country as a child four years old. The family came to Wahpeton and this their home. She was married 18 years ago to George C. Medved making their home on Pembina avenue where she resided up until seven years ago where she went to be with her children. Seven children survive, George Medved, husband passed in 1921. The children are, George Medved, Jr, St Paul, Robert Medved, Pasadena, Calf., James Medved, St. Paul, Mrs. J. T. Taylor, Madison, Wisc., Mrs. M. Parkhill, Minneapolis, Mrs. O. A. Hanson, Elbow Lake, Minn., Mrs. N Thode, Helena, Mont. Burial will take place in Calvary cemetery. (Later changed to Fairview cemetery)
