Obituary
James Meyer Is Buried In City
James Meyer of Oak Grove township, Pierce county, Wisconsin, but a former Wahpeton man, died on January 25 at his home there. He was at one time a street car conductor on the street railway here. He left Wahpeton about eleven years ago. His wife, the former Mary June, of Wahpeton, accompanied the remains here and funeral services were conducted on Sunday afternoon from the Schmitt and Olson chapel. Reverend Caskey officiated. Interment was in Fairview cemetery. James Meyer was born March 17, 1881, at Cleveland, Ohio. A large number of people here were acquainted with him and there are several relatives in the vicinity. Nephews acted as pallbearers.
