Obituary
Anna Meyer-1905
Anna Augusta Meyer, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. Meyer, died Thursday night July 18, about 11 o’clock of tubercular meningitis. She had been ailing since March, but nothing serious seemed to be the matter, until about a month ago she became worse, and gradually wasted away. She seemed to had a complication of different diseases and though six different specialists were called upon, nothing exact could be decided on and nothing seemed to relieve her. She was born in Wahpeton Sept 8th, 1896. She was a bright, lovable child and endeared herself to all who knew her.
Funeral services were held first at the residence and afterwards at the German Evangelical Lutheran church, Thursday afternoon by Rev. H. Hafner, pastor. The floral emblems were beautiful and a procession of twenty-one little flower girls carried flowers from the residence to the church.
The out of town friends and relatives that attended were Rev. Baumhoefner, wife and youngest daughter from Young America, Rev. Baumhoefner is the brother-in-law of Mr. Meyer, Mrs. Luevers of Norwood, a daughter of Rev. Baumhoefner of Afton, Minn., Rev. Hink, and wife and Geo. Wanrer of Great Bend, and Rev. Keim of Campbell. The text was taken from Psalm 116, 15th verse.
The bereaved parents, sister and brothers have the sympathy of the entire community in this their great affliction. The remains were laid to rest in Fairview cemetery.
