Funeral Service For Mrs. Meyer Is Held Thursday
70 Year Old Woman of Fairmount Leaves Thirteen Children
Funeral services for Mrs. Gust Meyer, aged 70 years, who died on Sunday morning at her home in LaMars township, were held on Thursday P.M. from the home at one o’clock and 2 o’clock from the First English Lutheran Church in
Fairmount. Rev. Schumacher officiated at the last rites. She lay in state at the Vertin Funeral Chapel from Sunday until Thursday at which time she was taken to her home for her last rites.
Mrs. Meyer leaves to mourn her husband, Gustav Meyer, also six daughters and seen sons, namely, Mrs. Paul Marquardt, Tenney, Minn.; Mrs. Oscar Stal of Wyndmere, N.D., Mrs. George Borefoth of Dwight, Mrs. William Marquardt of Fairmount, Mrs. Arthur Wolters of Wahpeton, Mrs. Arnold Wolters also of Wahpeton, Reynold Meyer, Fred Meyer, both of Fairmount, August Meyer, Fargo, Paul Meyer, Fargo William Meyer of Anaconda, Mont., Alfred Meyer of Wyndmere, and Albert Meyer of Fairmount. She also leaves to mourn two sisters and three brothers, namely, Mrs. Ed Marquardt of Wahpeton, Mrs Rudolph Boelke of Lidgerwood, Ed Bucholz of Wyndmere, Fred Bucholz of Monango, and Chris Meyer of Bismarck.
Also left are 36 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Albert Schroeder, Ben Engebritzen, Arnold Moehler, Sievert Peterson and Harris Miller. Burial was made in Fairview cemetery here in Wahpeton.
