Obituary

Arthur Miller Of Breckenridge Funeral Monday

Arthur P Miller, 65, who had operated the Apex Cleaners in Breckenridge the past 22 years, died Friday, in St Francis Hospital in Breckenridge.

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 1:00pm in Jos. Vertin and Sons Funeral Home chapel by Frontier Lodge 152 of the Masons and at 2 pm in the Breckenridge Lutheran Church with Rev T. C. Hanson officiating.Interment was made in the family lot in Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton.

He was born Nov. 10, 1891, at Creston, Iowa, and attend school in Ottumows. As a young man he entered the dry cleaning occupation and for many years was manager of a large concern in Cedar Rapids.

He married May N. Wells at Kirksville. Mo., July 5, 1909. In 1930 he moved the family to this community and had resided here since, the past 22 years having owned and operated the Breckenridge dry cleaning establishment.

Mr. Miller was a member of the Breckenridge Rotary Club, Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce, Frontier Lodge 152 of Masons of Breckenridge, Comandary of Wahpeton Area Shrine Club of Fergus Falls, and Jaoby Chapter of Eastern Star of Breckenridge.

Well known in this community, he was active in civic affairs taking particular interest in the Boy Scouts. He served several times as chairman of the Red River Boy Scouts Council.
