Obituary
Mrs. A. P. Miller Dies; Funeral Services Thursday
Funeral services were held at 2 Monday (today) in the Breckenridge Methodist Church for Mrs. Arthur P. Miller, 76, of Breckenridge who died Thursday at St. Francis Hospital. The Rev. Royal Steiner officiated. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery in Wahpeton.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Wells, May Wells was born Jan. 13, 1892, at Ottumwa, Iowa. She grew up and attended local schools in that area. She married Arthur Miller July 5, 1910 at Ottumwa. They lived in Iowa where Mr. Miller was in the dry cleaning business until 1930 at which time they moved to Wahpeton. In 1935, Mr. and Mrs. Miller opened the Apex Cleaners in Breckenridge. They continued in the business until 1957 when Mr. Miller died. Mrs. Miller sold her interest in the business the following year.
The Millers moved to Breckenridge in 1942 and Mrs. Miller remained in Breckenridge until her death with the exception of two years when she made her home with her daughter Mrs. Harry Carlson at Kent, Wash. She was a member of the Breckenridge Methodist Church and WSCS and Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Lewis F. Miller and LeRoy Miller of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Harry (Arthalyne) Carlson of Kent, Wash., and Mrs. John (Pat) Hoyt of Rosholt, S.D.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Arthur and Floyd.
