Mrs. Katie Mrzena Dies Here Friday
Funeral Services for Mother Of Mrs. T. K Williams Conducted from St. John’s Church
Funeral services were conducted Monday morning at ten fo Mrs. Katie Mrzena, mother of Mrs. T. K. Williams. Mrs. Mrzena died at seven Friday morning after a brief illness. She had made her home in Wahpeton with Mr. and Mrs. Williams since 1932. Mrs. Mrzena was born in Bohemia, March 17, 1873, and came to the United States as a girl, seven years old. She was married when she was 19 years old to Anthony Mrzena and they made their home near Willmar on a farm until 1932 when they came to Wahpeton to live.
Mr. Mrzena passed away in 1932. Funeral services were conducted from St John’s church and burial was in Fairview cemetery beside Mr. Mrzena. Schmitt & Olson were in charge of arrangements.
