Dwight Child Dies Of Burns On Wednesday
Eight Month Old Daughter of Herman Muehler Upsets Incubator, Starts Blaze
Elsie Elma Muehler, eight month old baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Muehler, suffered fatal burns Wednesday when she upset an incubator, spilling the fuel oil over her clothing.
The mother was badly burned about the hands as she extinguished the blaze which immediately enveloped the baby. Taking the baby in her arms she rushed to the highway where a passing salesman picked them up and brought them to St. Francis hospital. The baby died t 12:45 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:30 p.m., at ImmanuelLutheran church, the pastor, Rev. R. J. Becker, officiating. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. Muehler live a mile and a half north of Dwight and Elsie Elma was their only child. Mrs. Muehler is recovering from her burns.
