Walter Meyers Rites Pending
Walter Meyers, 71, of Wahpeton died suddenly at Minot Tuesday morning. Funeral services are pending with Vertin’s Wahpeton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Meyers was born April 17, 1896 at Minneapolis. He was raised at Kenmare, N.D., and was in business at Kenmare and Granville. He married Lena Gullickson Feb. 2, 1920 at Kenmare. They came to Wahpeton in 1937. Mrs. Meyers died in 1965. He was married to Bertha Phillips Sept. 14, 1966. He was employed by the Eagles Club for many years.
Surviving are his wife and two brothers and two sisters, Lawrence and Fred and Mrs. Lillian Meyers of Butte, Mont., and Mrs. Minnie Cain of Minot.
