Obituary
Services For Mrs. W. Meyers Set for Friday
Mrs. Walter H. (Lena) Meyers, 69, longtime Wahpeton resident, died Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital after she had been hospitalized for fie days with a heart condition.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. from Vertin’s Wahpeton Chapel with Rev. P.A. Gisvold officiating. Interment will be in Christus Garden of Fairview Cemetery. Visitation at Vertin’s Wahpeton, will be Thursday afternoon and evening.
Mrs. Meyers was born at Down, Iowa, Jan. 13, 1835 and at the age of 9, she moved with her parents to Ashley, N. D. She later was employed for several years in Bismarck and Minot.
On Feb. 2, 1920, she married to Walter Meyers at Kenmare, N. D., where they lived for one and one-half years. Mr. Meyers worked with the Soo Line Railroad before coming to Wahpeton in 1937. They had resided here since.
Surviving are her husband, Walter and a sister, Mrs. Richard (Gina) Coonen of San Francisco, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
