Obituary
Ivan Miller funeral will be on Saturday
Ivan Miller, 50, rural Wahpeton, died Wednesday in an accident at the Miller elevator complex located along the Soo Line Railroad tracks northwest of Fairmount. The funeral service will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, Wahpeton, the Rev. George Mehok officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening and Saturday until 10:15 at Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Home. There will be an 8 p.m. prayer service Friday at the funeral home.
He was born Dec. 18, 1929 at Breckenridge, the son of Earl and Frances (Korinek) Miller. He graduated from Fairmount High School in 1947 and farmed with his father for a time. He married Jane Branson Oct. 27, 1951 at Fairmount. They lived and farmed in Summit Township. He also had other farming interests in the area.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, Kelly, Casey, and Jon, all of rural Wahpeton, and one daughter, Julie, at home; his mother, Mrs. Frances Miller, Wahpeton, one brother, David, rural Wahpeton, and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father.
