Agnes Mitskog

COLFAX, N.D. - Funeral services for Mrs. Fritjof (Agnes) Mitskog, 68, of Colfax will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Colfax, with Rev. Arlington Mitskog officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.

Mrs. Mitskog died Thursday at her home.

Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening at Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Home (West Chapel).

Organist will be Mrs. John Hudson.

Honorary casket bearers will be Ole and Clarence Score, John Fiske, Howard Fox, Frank Nelson, Arthur E. Johnson, Ingram Stubson, Ole Juven, and Ray Kummer.

Active casket bearers will be Donald Isaacson, Irving and Treadwell Haugen, Theodore Odegaard, and Gilman and Klinton Braaten.

Agnes Isaacson was born Jan. 20, 1907, at Bancroft, Ia. to Tom and Gertie (Tweit) Isaacson. As a child she moved with her parents to Pelican Rapids, Minn. She attended high school at Wyndmere and graduated from Park Region Academy at Fergus Falls. She taught school at Pelican Rapids and at Colfax, retiring from teaching five years ago.

She married Fritjof Mitskog July 28, 1928 at Pelican Rapids. The couple farmed north of Wyndmere until 1941 when they moved to Colfax.

She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, a past-president of ALCW, had served as church organist, and was a member of the Richland County Historical Society.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Lorraine) Stubson of Colfax; a son, Dr. Curtis C. Mitskog of Wahpeton; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Oliver (Hannah) Braaten of Wyndmere; and three brothers, Hilbert and Olaf of Pelican Rapids and Sigurd of Beloit, Wisc.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on May 8, 1973; and three brothers.
