Rites Conducted For Allen Nelson

Ottertail Power Co. Employee Dies Thursday

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Bethel Lutheran church here for Allen H. Nelson, 47 year old Ottertail Power Co. employee who died Thursday at the St. Francis hospital in Breckenridge.

Rev. P.A. Gisvold officiated at the services and burial was made in the family lot in Fairview cemetery. Schmitt and Olson funeral home of Wahpeton were in charge. Pallbearers were Bernell Hendrickson, Stanley Beach, Henry Lunde, Calmer Carlson, Urban Bohn and Clarence Laurence.

Mr. Nelson was born at Hallock, Minn., Jan. 12, 1904. He was married to Maude Mickelson on Nov. 20, 1943 at East Grand Forks, Minn. They moved to Wahpeton in 1944 when he began working as a switchboard operator for the Ottertail Power o. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles here.

Besides his wife, he leaves his father, James Nelson of McIntosh, Minn., five sisters, Mrs. C. Crosby of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Earl Partlow, East Grand Forks, Mrs. C. Goldsmith of Fosston, Minn., Mrs. B. Kiefl of Grand Forks, Mrs. Phil Rastberg of Sweetholm, Ore.; and two brothers, James and Kenneth, both of Grafton, N.D.
