Obituary
Funeral Held For Mrs. Nold in Cong’l. Church
Former Resident Died July 4th In Portland, Ore.
Funeral services were conducted this afternoon from the Congregational church for Mrs. Orville Nold, formerly of this city, who died July 4th, at her home in Portland, Ore. Rev. J. Howard Rees was in charge of the services.
Mrs. Nold the former Esther Schennum, was born Nov. 18, 1906, at Wahpeton. She was married in this city in 1921 and lived here until moving to Portland, Ore. in 1943. Children surviving include Ronald, Donna Lou, Orville, Lowene, Darrel, Patsy, Connie, Sharon, Shirley and Carol, at home Mrs. Lyle Kessel (Delphine) and Mrs. Rosella (Roberts) both of Portland; and Mrs. Gordon Olerud (Malsie) of Edgeley. A baby died in infancy.
She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Betsy Schennum, of Fargo; two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth Troxel and Mrs. Omar Groves, both of Breckenridge; and three brothers, Clifford Shennum of Mooreton; Arthur Schennum of Pierre, S. D. and Leonard Schennum of Chicago.
Pallbearers were Wesley Olive, Gustave Nickel, Victor Sheets, Merle Needham, John Diederich,and J.J. Randall. Interment was in Fairview cemetery.
