Obituary
Mrs. C. Nygaard Dies Today
Mrs. Clarence (Valeria) Nygard of Wahpeton, died at her home early this morning (Wednesday).
Death was of natural causes.
Rev. George Mehok will officiate at the service to be held at 10 Saturday from Vertin’s Wahpeton Chapel. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation at Vertin’s Wahpeton Chapel will be from 3 p.m. Friday through the evening and Saturday until time of service.
Mrs. Nygaard was born in Mooreton, Feb. 29, 1914, to parents Matilda and C. Morell Comstock. She came to Wahpeton with her parents as a child. She attended local schools and the State School of Science. She was employed by the Wahpeton Laundry until she was married to Clarence Nygaard on May 25 1948 in Wahpeton. Mr. Nygaard died April 23, 19622. She continued to live in Wahpeton.
Surviving are one daughter, Kay, at home; her mother, Mrs. Matilda Comstock of Wahpeton; four brothers, Allen of Mankato, Clark, St. Louis Park, Minn., Russell and Lynn, both of Wahpeton; two sisters, Mrs. E. S. (Marion) Osojnicki of St. Paul, and Mrs. Robert J. (Dorothy) Waite of Moorhead.
