Funeral Services For Marilyn Nagel Held Wednesday

Funeral services for Marilyn Jean Nagel, 16-year-old rural Wyndmere girl who drowned Sunday in Ottertail Lake, were held Wednesday at the Wyndmere Methodist Church, Rev. Hubert E. Rhymes officiating.

Marilyn was born Nov 1, 1959 at Breckenridge, and grew to young womanhood at her parents’ home three miles west of Barney. She would have been a senior this fall at Wyndmere High School.

A member of the Wyndmere Methodist Church, she had recorded 11 years of perfect attendance in the Methodist church school. She was an officer in the youth group of hervchurch. Marilyn was a member of the National Honor Society and a four-year member of the Wyndmere High School concert band at school. She belonged to the Danto Daisies 4-H club and the Girls Future Homemakers of America.

Besides her parents, Robert and Jeannette aNgel, she leaves a brother, John and one sister, Carol, both at home. Aldo surviving are grandparents, John F. and Minnie Nagel of Barney, and grandmother, Mrs. Bessie Jensen of Wyndmere. Interment was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Wahpeton. Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, is in charge of arrangements.
