Obituary
Rites Held For Henry O. Nelson
Funeral service was held on Monday afternoon in Jos. Vertin & Sons Funeral Home Chapel for Henry O. Nelson, 58 of Wahpeton. Mr. Nelson died on Thursday morning in St Francis hospital.
The Rev. Walter D. Elmer officiated at the service. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery here.
Mr. Nelson was born March 31, 1898, in New Rockford, N.D. He married Odelia Odden at Wyndmere Sept. 23, 1923.
They farmed near Bergen until 1929, when they moved to Wyndmere, farming there until 1955. They had resided in Wahpeton since.
Besides his wife he leaves four sons, Harvey and Oscar of Wyndmere, Roger of Chicago, and J. C. Nelson, Seattle; her mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Vibelo, Velva, N.D.; three brothers, Wallace of Velva, N.D., and Arthur of Bermen and Hilbert of Seattle, a sister, Mrs. Alvin Omoth, Bermen, N.D., and five grandchildren.
Mr. Nelson had been a trustee of Bergen church and member of the school board in Wyndmere.
