Obituary
Olga Neperud
The funeral for Mrs. John (Olga) Neperud, 67, of Wahpeton will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, with Rev. Marvin L. Hartmann officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
Mrs. Neperud died unexpectedly Saturday at her home.
Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening and Tuesday until 11 a.m. at Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Home chapel and one hour prior to services at the church. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the chapel.
Honorary casket bearers will be Donald Fauss, William and Vernon Hektner, Ralph Viall, Harold Henning and Richard Hauck.
Active casket bearers will be Arvid Olson, Warren Schuett, John Schatz, Arne Hinsverk, Richard Haskell and Bernard Hilgers.
Organist will be Mrs. Vernon Hektner. Vocalist will be James Horton.
Olga Garson was born Oct. 5, 1908 at Hixton, Wis., to Oscar and Clara (Thompson) Garson. She grew up there and attended local schools. She married John Neperud June 14, 1928 at Winona, Minn. Following marriage the couple lived at Pigeon Falls, Wis., until moving to Fargo in 1932. In 1941 they moved to Omaha, returning to Fargo in 1946.
They came to Wahpeton in 1947 where John was a teacher at the North Dakota State School of Science in the automotive department.
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and the ALCW.
Survivors are her husband; a son, Jerome of Surrey, N.D.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
