Obituary

Mrs. C. F. Olsen Dies Thursday

Funeral Services Held Saturday Afternoon

Mrs. Carl F. Olsen died at her home in Wahpeton Thursday night at 9:15 of a heart ailment. Laura Elizabeth Rapp was born in Dane county, Wis., on the 9th of November, 1884. When but 2 years of age she with her parents came to Frederick, S. D. Here she grew to womanhood and was united in marriage to Carl F. Olsen, July 16th, 1906.

To this union three sons were born: William Carl, Christian Edward and Leslie Frederick, who preceded her in death in 1918. Fourteen years ago they came o Wahpeton to make their home.

Mrs. Olsen was a kind and devoted wife and mother and had many friends and neighbors. She leaves to mourn besides her husband and two sons two grandsons, all of Wahpeton and two brothers and six sisters. John Rapp of Lidgerwood, Edward Rapp of Forbes, Mrs. C P Noyes of Wahpeton, Mrs. Charles Gallagher of Moorhead, Mrs. Clifford Rogers, Mrs. Joe Conlon and Mrs. Olaf Olsen of Breckenridge and Mrs. John Nord of Las Vegas, Nev.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from Schmitt & Olson Funeral Home at Wahpeton. The funeral was in charge of Rev. S. C. B. Knutsen of Dwight. Mrs. Howard Paul, assisted by Miss Donna Forkner at the piano sang several songs. Pallbearers were Adolph Helgeson, Ed Ferguson, Frank Johnson, Oliver Sletten, George Alsaker and Ray Swenson.
