Obituary
Carl F. Olsen Funeral Tuesday
Funeral services for Carl F. Olsen, Age 75, who died Friday following an attack of pneumonia, will be held Tuesday at two o’clock from Schmitt & Olson funeral chapel. Rev. P. A. Gisvold will be in charge. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery beside his wife.
Carl F. Olsen was born in Oslo, Norway Jan. 10th, 1876, to Christian and Olena Olsen, and at the age of ten years he with his parents came to America and located at Frederick, S. D. Here he grew to manhood and early in life united with the Lutheran church. He worked for his uncle at Hecla, S. D. learning the trade of the blacksmith.
Left to mourn his death are two sons; William Carl and Christian Edward, both of Wahpeton: two brothers, Carl Olof Olsen of Breckenridge and Gus Olsen, address unknown, a sister, Mrs. Florence Beckendorf of Fairmont, Minn., and four grandchildren.
