He was also director of the bank. He has other real estate and business interests in the community.

O. J. Olson was united in marriage to Susan Rettig April 29 1914. The happy couple have made their home continuously in Wahpeton since. Mr. Olson is survived by his wife, his mother, Ms. Lina Olson, sisters Miss Clara of Wahpeton, Ms. Walter H. (Ethel) Schultz of Riverton, Wyoming. Miss Cora of Wahpeton and Clarence of Ada, Minn. Preceding him in death are a sister, Ella (Mrs. George Johnson) a brother, George Olson and his father Chris Olson.

Mr. Olson was closely identified with the life of Wahpeton community. He was president and one of the founders of Fairview cemetery association. He was a one time president of the Wahpeton Chamber of Commerce. He served as treasurer for several years for Bethel Lutheran church. He was a member of the Wahpeton school board for several years. He was a past Noble Grand of Wahpeton Odd Fellows Lodge and a trustee of that organization. He was a member of the Wahpeton Masonic lodge. He was a Republican in politics and was recently a delegate to the National Republican convention. Mr. Olson was widely and favorably known all over the county and news of his passing past a pall of gloom upon the community.

The body will lie in state at Schmitt & Olson chapel until Wednesday morning when it will be removed to the home of his mother, Mrs. Lina Olson, where private family funeral services will be conducted. Services from Bethel Lutheran church will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday and burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
