Obituary
Funeral Set for Saturday for Mrs. C. J. Olson
Mrs. Charles J. (Edith) Olson, 81, longtime resident of Wahpeton, died Tuesday at the Wahpeton Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from Vertin’s-Wahpeton Chapel, the Rev. Henry Fry officiating. Interment will be at Fairview cemetery.
She was born Nov. 16, 1880, at Foxhome, Minn., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chilies Jenne. Later she moved with her family to near Star Lake in the Fergus Falls vicinity.
She married Charles J. Olson Aug 29, 1908, at Fargo. They resided at Fargo and Moorhead before moving to Wahpeton in 1915. Mr. Olson died in 1945.
Since 1958 Mrs. Olson has lived with her children. She had been a patient at the Rehabilitation Center the past five years.
Survivors include two sons, Paul A. Olson, Fargo, and Carl F. Olson, Wheaton; five daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Lottie) Matheson, Wahpeton; Mrs. Elmer (Agnes) Oscarson, Wheaton; Mrs. Herbert (Clara) Stine, Minneapolis; Mrs. R. E. (Mildred) Drumright, Riverside, Calif, and Mrs. Clarence (Mary) Miller, Wahpeton; 18 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
One brother, Willis Jenne, McMinneville, Ore, and one sister Mrs. J. A Corey, Portland, Ore., also survive.
Organist will be Mrs. William Enochson and vocalist will be Mrs. Arnold Pankow.
Pallbearers will be Ira Keeney, William Torgeson, William Quine, Louis Prochozka, Charles Oliver and Wendell Pratt.
