Mrs. Carrie Olson Funeral Set For Saturday
Resident of Breckenridge Dies On Wednesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Olson, resident of Breckenridge since 1924, who died Wednesday at St. Francis hospital, will be held Saturday at 2:30 o’clock from the Lutheran church in that city. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery, Wahpeton.
Born in Norway, she came to this country at the age of 17. Her parents settled in Cass county and she grew up there. She married Oscar Sundby at Davenport in 1895; he died in 1905. They made their home in Davenport.
She was married to Martin Olson in Davenport in 1915 and they came to Breckenridge in 1924. Mr Olson died in 1936.
In Breckenridge she was a member of the Lutheran church and active in its organizations.
She is survived by three sons, Albert Sundby of Breckenridge, Ingolf and Henry Sundby of Davenport; two daughters, Mrs. Selma Fournier of Chicago and Mrs. O. J. Odegaard of Cartwright; one sister, Mrs. C. A. Pederson of Fargo. There are 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
