Henry Osen, 81, Longtime County Resident, Dies
Henry Osen, 81, longtime County died Monday at the Wahpeton Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held Friday at Vertin’s Wahpeton Chapel. Rev. Loyal Golf officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be this afternoon and evening at Vertin’s Wahpeton Chapel and Friday morning until time of service.
Mr. Orsen was born April 14, 1883, at Forde Sondfjord, Norway. He came to Wahpeton in 1920 and worked here for his brother Harold, in a greenhouse.
He married Anna Solheim in 1925. They farmed near Dwight until 1948, when they retired in Wahpeton. Mrs. Osen died July 28, 1951. He continued to live here.
Mr. Osen became a resident of the Wahpeton Rehabilitation Center about three years ago. Vocalist will be Miss Julieann Heopokoski and organist will be Mrs. Jessie Lahren.
Surviving are a brother, Peter of Duluth; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Johnson of Minneapolis and Mrs. Louisa Luthji of Minneapolis and two brothers and one sister in Norway.
He was preceded in death by his wife on July 28, 1951, and a brother, Harold on January 27, 1963.
Serving as pallbearers will be Al Edenborg, Clyde Emery, E. R. Nichol, Lester Ward Ferd Smith and William Karst.
