Obituary
Valeska Otto, Lifelong County Resident, Dies
Funeral services for Valeska Otto, lifetime resident of Richland County, were held today (Monday) at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Rev. Edward Rutter officiating. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery. She died Friday.
A prayer service was held Sunday at Vertin’s Wahpeton Chapel.
Valeska Otto was born March 26, 1892 at Center Township in rural Wahpeton the daughter of Carl and Eliza Otto. She attended school in Center and remained on the farm with her family. She never married.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Surviving are five sisters Harriet, Frances, Arretta, Elfreda, and Adelia Ott; and a brother Ernest Otto, all of rural Wahpeton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister, Arthur, Gertrude and Awalt.
Organist was Mrs. William Enochson and music was by the Immanuel Ladies Choir.
Serving as pallbearers was Walderman Fenske, Henry Steffens, George Brosowske, Henry Dichraff, Peter Onchuck, and Oscar Krause.
