Obituary
Howard H. Osborn
WAHPETON - The funeral for Howard H. Osborn, 84, Wahpeton Rehabilitation Center, will be at 2 Friday in United Methodist Church, Rev. Stanley K. Mueller officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Osborn died Monday.
He was born Oct. 17, 1888, in Logan County, Ill., and moved to Great Bend, N.D., where he married Alvina Mittag Oct. 18, 1943.
Mr. Osborn is a charter member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church which is now United Methodist. He was employed for 20 years with the Great Northern Railroad retiring in 1961. His wife died April 16, 1972.
Surviving are two sons, Nolan, Route 2, Wahpeton; Howard Jr., Moorhead, Minn.; a daughter, Mrs. Norbert (Grace) Platt, Tenney, Minn.; a foster son, Henry Triehel, Minneapolis; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lee Stoltenow, Roger Platt, Howard Osborn III, John Osborn, Curtis Osborn and Verne Platt. Organist will be Jerald Stewart.
Vertin's-Wahpeton are in charge of arrangements.
