Obituary
James Oscarson
Services for James Oscarson, 28, Campbell, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Campbell, with Rev. Bruce Holstein officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton. He died Saturday at Campbell. Visitation is this afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 8 p.m. at Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home Chapel. There will also be visitation at the church for the hour prior to services.
James Oscarson was born Oct. 5, 1950 to Arthur and Gertrude (Nordick) Oscarson at Breckenridge. He grew up at Campbell and graduated from high school there in 1969. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served on the USS Krause during the Vietnam conflict. After discharge in 1973 he returned to the Campbell area where he farmed. He also attended Alexandria Vocational Technical Institute.
Survivors include his parents, Campbell; a brother and three sisters, Thomas, Red Lake Falls, Minn., Mrs. Bill (Judi) Junge, Breckenridge, Mrs. Donna Backer, Campbell, and Mrs. Dave (Marlys) Phillips, Wahpeton.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a nephew.
