Obituary
Mrs. Minnie Parker Rites To Be Held In Wahpeton
Mrs. Minnie Parker, 87, of Minot, former Wahpeton resident, died Friday night at Trinity Hospital at Minot. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Vertin’s Wahpeton Chapel. The Rev. Kenneth Wiley will officiate. Organist will be Mrs. F. D. Brown and Clifford B. Cummins will be the vocalist. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday (today) afternoon and evening and Tuesday until time of service at Vertin’s Wahpeton Funeral Home.
Minnie Peterson was born Feb. 17, 1880, at Red Wing, Minn. She was raised in that community and married Bernard Parker in 1906 at Fargo. The couple came to Wahpeton in 1919. Mr. Parker was a chef at the Merchants Hotel. He died Feb. 1, 1921. Mrs. Parker continued to live in Wahpeton until 1942 when she moved to Williston. She resided at Minot for the past three years.
Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Sidney of Minot, Arthur of Wahpeton, Ms. Lillian Kupfer of Englewood, Colo., and Mrs. Claron (Ruth) Neisses of Helena, Mont. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hans Nygaard, Lars Raftevold, Andrew Olsen, William Quine, Leonard Jones and Oscar Dahlgren. Active pallbearers will be Ervin Dierks, Myron Frankfurth, Charles Oliver, William Torgeson, Ira Kenney and Earl Oliver.
