Obituary
Mrs. Patterson
Mrs. Perry (Emma) Patterson, 85, of Wahpeton died Wednesday in St. Francis Hospital. The funeral will be at 10:30 Saturday in Bethel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Marvin L. Hartmann officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening in Vertin's-Wahpeton Funeral Home.
Emma Stewart was born April 15, 1887, at Clark, S.D., the daughter of Andrew J. and Augusta (Bohl) Stewart. She was raised and educated at Northville, S.D., and taught rural schools in South Dakota before marriage June 26, 1907, to Pierre Patterson. The couple lived at Wyndmere and Barney before moving to Wahpeton in 1922 where Mr. Patterson was employed by the Great Northern Railway. He died March 20, 1954. Mrs. Patterson had been a resident of the Leach Home for the past year. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and the Royal Neighbors of America.
She is survived by one son and two daughters, Gordon V. , 529 N 4th St., Wahpeton, Mrs. Floyd (Aurilla) Dailey, Storm Lake, Iowa, Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Berger, Carson, Calif.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Archie Stewart of Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Louis (Mary) Vollmer of Millette, SD.
