Obituary
County Resident 40 Years, Dies
Pierre V. Patterson, 68, resident of Richland county since 1913 and father of Gordon Patterson, secretary at the State School of Science here, died on Saturday at 11:50 a.m. at the St. Francis Home in Breckenridge. He had been in failing health since September.
Funeral service has been set for Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Schmitt and Olson Funeral Chapel here with Rev. B.B. Cartwright. Interment will be made in the Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum
Born Feb. 21, 1886 at Marshfield, Wis., he moved to Northville, S.D. with his parents as a small child. He spent his youth there and attended school. He married Emma Stewart at Northville in June 1907.
They came to Richland county in 1913 to a farm near Wyndmere. In 1922 they moved to Wahpeton where he was employed in the car shop of the Great Northern railroad in Breckenridge. He retired in October 1952.
Surviving are his wife in Wahpeton, two daughters, Mrs. Aurilla Dailey of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Berger of Wahpeton, a son, Gordon, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
