Obituary
Walter W. Pease, Long of Richland, Dies Saturday
Walter W. Pease, 81, resident of Richland County more than 70 years until leaving in 1952, died Saturday in a hospital at Alexandria, Minn. He had been in poor health since suffering a cerebral hemorrhage in 1951.
Funeral service has been set for Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Foss Methodist church here with Rev. Roy Harris of Breckenridge officiating. Interment will be made in Fairview Cemetery at Wahpeton. Schmitt-Polton Funeral Home of Wahpeton is handling arrangements. Mr. Pease was bon in Monmouth, Me., July 16, 1874, the youngest son of George and Sarah Pease. At the age of four years, he came with his parents to a farm a few miles west of Wahpeton where he resided until April 1952. He was united in marriage to Anna Edens of Merill, Wis., on Jan. 9, 1897. To this union eight children were born, one child died in infancy.
He leaves to mourn his passing three sons, Earl of Aitken, Minn., Ernest of Toledo, Ohio, and Robert of Alexandria; four daughters Mrs. Alfred (Florence) Simensen of Wahpeton. Mrs. Fred (Grace) Lensert of Tomahawk, Wis., Mrs. Walter (Alice) Davies of Shakopee, Minn., and Mrs. John (Mae) Keating of Chula Vista, Calif.; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dr rank D. Pease and Eben Pease and two sisters, Mrs. Edward Nelson and Mrs. William Killian.
