Obituary

Mrs. Walter (Anna) Pease, 87, Dies; Funeral Set Friday

Mrs. Walter W. (Anna) Pease 87, a longtime resident of Richland county, died Tuesday at the home of a daughter in Tomahawk, Wis.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from Vertin’s-Wahpeton Chapel. Rev. Everett C. H. Owens officiating. Interment will be at Fairview cemetery.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today (Thursday) and this evening and Friday until time of services at Vertin’s-Wahpeton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pease was born at Merrill, Wis., Jan. 13, 1876. Her maiden name was Anne Eden. She came to Wahpeton Jan 9, 1897, after her marriage to Walter Pease at Merrill.

They farmed west of Wahpeton for many years. There were eight children. One dying in infancy. Survivors include three sons, Earl of Tempe, Ariz.; Ernest, Toledo, Ohio and Robert, Elbow Lake, Minn.; four daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Florence) Simensen, Wahpeton; Mrs. Fred (Grace) Teusert, Tomahawk; Mrs. Walter (Alice) Davis, Shakopee, Minn., and Mrs. John (Mae) Keating Chula Vista, Calif.; 18 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, several sisters and one brother. Organist was Mrs. F. D. Brown and vocalist was Mrs. S. C. Lucas. Pallbearers were George Pelzl, George Ruddy, Clayton Hasty, Peter Onchuck, Williard Onchuck and Frank Rehm.
