Obituary
Margaret Pope
Margaret Pope, 91, Wahpeton, died Thursday at St. Francis Hospital, Breckenridge. The funeral will be at 10:30 Saturday at the United Church of Christ, Congregational, Wahpeton, with Rev. Stephen Hanning officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton.
Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening in Vertin's-Wahpeton West Chapel. There will also be visitation at the church for the hour prior to service.
She was born July 16, 1889 at Hope, N.D. to Samuel and Harriette (Carpenter) Pope. She was employed in Hope, N.D. and came to Wahpeton in 1943 and was a housekeeper for the late Samuel Lock. She was later employed as a waitress at Bud's Cafe.
She was a member of United Church of Christ, the Plymouth Circle, and the Wahpeton Women's Relief Corps.
Survivors include a niece, nephew and several cousins.
