Lloyd Peterson

Lloyd Peterson, 63, Kent, died Monday, July 20 at St. Francis Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 Thursday at Breckenridge Lutheran Church, Rev. Julian Erickson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.

Visitation will begin at 2 Wednesday continuing through the evening with a prayer service at 7:30 at Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, Breckenridge.

He was born April 19, 1918 at Regent, N.D. to Albert and Mary (Kanera) Peterson. He attended school there. When he was 13 he moved with his family to Lidgerwood. He later worked in Civilian Construction Corps Camps at Brainerd and Custard, S.D. They later moved to Abercrombie where he farmed. After his father's death the family moved to Kent. He was employed by the railroad. He married Delores Ruediger at Kent on Oct. 10, 1952. He was employed by the Wilkin County Highway Department. He later retired.

Survivors include his wife and five sons, Richard, Ralph and David, Wahpeton, Duane and Larry, Kent; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Esther) Motis, Underwood, Minn.; and Mrs. Orville (Dorothy) Hanson, Doran.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
