A BEAUTIFUL LIFES GOES OUT
Sad Death of Mrs. Dr. Quick-Wahpeton in Mourning
Mrs. Della E. Beachem Quick, wife of Dr. J. V. Quick, died at her home in Wahpeton Monday afternoon, of uremia, resulting from childbirth. Mrs. Quick was confined Sunday evening, after she went into convulsions, and died the following day.
Mrs. Quick was born at Simcoe, Ontario, 31 years ago.
She came to Wahpeton in 1886 with her brother William Beachem, and kept house for him two years, returning to Canada in 1889. Since she was married to Dr. Quick at Simcoe on Christmas day, 1889, and soon thereafter came to Wahpeton to live. Mrs. quick was a beautiful woman, made friends readily and was greatly beloved by those who knew her best. She had a happy home in Wahpeton, and the surroundings were of the most congenital nature. The deceased leaves a sister, Mrs. Emma Gordon of Toledo, Ohio, two brothers, George Beachem of Rochester, N. Y., and William Beachem of Valley City, a husband, a daughter Hazel, four years of age and an infant, to mourn her death. To the stricken husband and children the love and sympathy of all goes out.
Funeral services were held at the Congregational church, of which the deceased was a member, this afternoon. Friends from out of town attending the funeral are Mrs. W. P. Adams of Chicago, Harry Quick and wife of Fargo, Mrs. Sunderhauf of Fargo, Mrs. Stillman of Duluth, W. H. Beachem of Valley City, Mrs. Emma Beachem-Gordonof Toledo.**Mrs. Quick was interred at the Moore Cemetery, west of Wahpeton near the Wild Rice River, in 1896. In 1945, Mrs. Quick was removed to Fairview Cemetery.
