Obituary
Sturdevant Daughter Drowned In Pool
Rebecca Sue Sturdevant, two year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen A. Sturdevant of this city lost her life by drowning Sunday. All efforts to resuscitate the child failed after she was taken from the swimming pool at the home of Dr. D. G. Jaehning late in the afternoon.
The child had wandered across the street, as the accident is reconstructed, found her way through the garage or breezeway and fell into the Pool.
The Jaehning family had gone out to dinner and arrived home to find the tragedy had occurred. The older Sturdevant children had enjoyed swimming in the pool in the summer but Rebecca had never been in the pool.
She was born Nov 21, 1957 in Breckenridge. She leaves her parents, an older sister, Sonia, 8, and Michael 11.
Funeral services will be held from Foss Methodist church Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock, Rev. B. B Curtis officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Garden. The little girl had attended Sunday School at the Methodist church for the first time this fall.
