Paul M. Syvertson
GALCHUTT, N.D. - Paul M. Syvertson, 71, Galchutt, died Thursday in Fargo. Funeral services will be Monday at the Galchutt Lutheran Church, the Rec. H. Chris Hallanger officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon and evening at Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Home and at the church for the hour prior to services.
Paul Melvin Syvertson was born Aug. 13, 1906 at Perth, N.D., the son of Thorsten and Georgina (Olson) Syvertson. The family moved to a farm near Dwight. He attended school in the Ibsen Township. The family later moved to a farm in Homestead Township near Wyndmere. He married Adeline Bolstad Oct. 20, 1937 at Dwight. They farmed in Ibsen Township near Galchutt.
He was a member of Galchutt Lutheran Church. He had served on the church council and had been a township supervisor.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Duane (Phyllis) Engbard, Owatonna, Minn., and Mrs. Russell (Shirley) Christensen, Wahpeton; four grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Arthur (Myrtle) Ouren, Mooreton.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
